Cookie Policy

Below you will find every cookie and every piece of browser storage this site uses, and the reason for each. It is a short read.

Last updated: 27 October 2026

At a glance

  • The site sets just one cookie, and it is essential. You get it when you sign in, register, reset a password or open a page that has a form on it. Playing games does not need it, and accounts are optional.
  • Your browser also keeps a few small local and session storage entries. These remember whether you have confirmed your age, whether you dismissed the cookie notice, which games you opened recently and when your visit started, for the timer.
  • No analytics, advertising or tracking cookies are set, and nothing on the site is used for those purposes.

Local and session storage entries

NameWherePurposeLasts
vrc_ageLocal storageRemembers that you confirmed you are 18 or older, so you are not asked again on every pageUntil you clear site data
vrc_noticeLocal storageRemembers that you dismissed the cookie noticeUntil you clear site data
vrc_recentLocal storageKeeps the list of games you opened recently so My account can show themUntil you clear it or clear site data
vrc_startSession storagePowers the visit timer and the break reminders that appear every 30 minutesUntil you close the tab
vrc_age_deniedSession storageRemembers that you answered “under 18”, so the age gate stays shut for the rest of this visitUntil you close the tab

These entries never leave your browser. None of them is sent to our server.

Our session cookie

NamePurposeLastsType
vrc_sidKeeps track of your signed-in state and protects the sign-in and contact forms from forged requests. It is set when you sign in, register, reset a password or open a page containing a form.Until you close your browserStrictly necessary, first-party, HTTP-only

Signing in and sending forms safely depend on this cookie, which is why it needs no consent. You do not need it just to play, since games open without logging in.

Outside services and content

  • Google. Google’s sign-in script is fetched only when you press “Continue with Google”. While you sign in through Google’s window, Google may set cookies of its own; Google’s cookie information describes how.
  • Games. The games are loaded from this same site and run inside our pages, though they still count as third-party content. While you play, a game may keep its own settings or credit balances in your browser storage, or set cookies of its own.
  • Linked organisations. Following a link to GamCare, BeGambleAware or similar organisations takes you to services that run under their own policies.

We use no Google Analytics or any other analytics tool, no advertising network, no social-media pixel and no third-party font service.

Taking control

You can block or delete cookies and stored site data in your browser’s settings (look for “cookies” or “site data”). If you block the session cookie, signing in and the forms will stop working. Clearing storage brings the age question back and wipes your recent games and any settings the games saved.

If this page changes

If what we store ever changes, we will update this page and the date at the top will show the latest revision. To learn more about how your information is handled, read our Privacy Policy. Questions are welcome through the contact form.
